Vehicle Technician for rail cars.
Responsibilities
  1. Diagnose problems and determines the extent of repairs or adjustments needed.
  2. Maintains, adjusts, repairs, rebuilds, and overhauls operating systems including but not
  3. limited to electrical, charging, fuel, ignition, cooling, air conditioning, heating, & braking
  4. Maintains, adjusts, repairs, rebuilds and overhauls components.
  5. Operates computer aided diagnostic equipment, vehicle testng, and/or operating equipment.
  6. Repairs and replaces bodies, housings, brackets and accessories using machining tools and equipment.
  7. Performs other assignments as directed by the Supervisor of Maintenance.
Requirements and Skills
  1. Must be available and flexible to work any shift.
  2. Have knowledge in methods, tools, materials, equipment, and procedures used in the diagnosis and
  3. maintenance of systems and components for vehicles.
  4. Have knowledge in the operating principles of gasoline and diesel engines and fuel injection systems
  5. Be aware of safety rules and precautions related to the use of tools, vehicles, and equipment.
  6. Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening.
  7. Pre-employment background check must be free and clear of any criminal and/or DUI activity.
  8. Pre-employment physical.
  9. Technical skills test.
Education
  1. Associates degree in Mechanical/Electrical field, license/certificate as diesel mechanic or equivale
